Dr. Werner A. Rechsteiner died

Werner A. Rechsteiner was a member of our founding Board and actively involved in establishing the AFS Foundation in 2004. An AFS returnee of the 60s, three of his children went on AFS and the family hosted as many times a young exchange student. In 1991 Werner Rechsteiner was named honorary member of AFS Switzerland – he was an AFSer through and through. An engaged personality in all walks of life, he was widely respected and appreciated in the community. He passed away unexpectedly on June 10, 2007, aged 64, in the middle of an active life.

Ours hearts go out to his family. Werner, we will greatly miss you, your friendship and your wisdom.
